Dutch DJ/producer Trobi quickly made a name for himself by becoming the youngest artist ever who was signed to Spinnin' Records at age 16.
This talented young man started producing music at the age of 9 and has already been receiving lots of attention for his DJ performances. He stalked former DJ Peter Gelderblom on Facebook to become his manager, promising him that in the right hands he could become a great artist. Maybe even a top100 DJ one day.
They decided to work together and Trobi kept his word going to the studio working 7 days a week to realize his dream. He made his debut in January 2017, with his first official single ‘’In the Studio’ with the Dutch duo Junglebae. The song resulted in a strong, pop tinged dance tune that created a spark with both club floor and the contemporary pop audience.
After this release, he dropped his second single ’Never Let You Down’’ featuring UK singer Stevie Appleton. This catchy track with a reggae vibe was awarded the “Grand Slam” on one of the biggest radio stations in The Netherlands, SLAM FM. Trobi became the youngest DJ ever to get a Grand Slam.
He would not stop there and started collaborating with LePrince, J Alvarez, and Boaz van de beats. Boaz is well known for his productional work with Diplo, Major Lazer, Madonna and Ariana Grande. His first major production success would be with rapper Ronnie Flex. Trobi then produced the song “Red me” which was awarded with the “Gold” status and the major club smash hit “4/5” which went double platinum.
This success did not go unnoticed. In 2018 Trobi start touring in the country, playing at radio stations, and even made his debut at Tomorrowland.
